26, was born December 27, 1991 in Saginaw, Michigan to Tara Nola Turner and Jerome Banks, Sr.

He was a member of The Way, The Truth and The Life Ministries. A true sneakerhead and a collector of Jordan 1s, he loved fashion and the latest trends. He enjoyed rapping, shopping and having a good time. His energy was phenomenal and he was always the life of the party. Anytime he was around you, you would always hear him say “I’m pulling up right now." "You feel me?" "You hear me?"

Deviontae was a family man who adored his children. He loved, respected and treasured his mother and his siblings, especially his sisters. He was forgiving, thoughtful, loving, loyal and funny. He loved being around his family and friends, telling jokes, lying and making everyone around him smile and laugh. His beautiful smile and crazy laugh will be missed by all who knew him. We were not ready, but God said it was your time.

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Deviontae joined the love of his life, his grandmother, “Ma” as he called her, Vannessa Turner and newborn nephew, Baby Antonio Jameel Banks; his friends, the twins, Brandon and Cameron Pennywell.

The family would like to express special thanks to Pastors Michael and Gwen Washington and The Way, The Truth, and The Life Ministries, Vernell and Nicole Phipps.

SAGINAW (WJRT) (9/17/2018) - The man who held police in a standoff for at least two hours on Thursday was charged with the shooting death of a Saginaw man on Monday.

Anthony Ontiveroz, 20, was arraigned on charges of open murder, committing a felony while carrying a firearm, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent and fleeing and eluding.

He is accused of killing 26-year-old Deviontae Marcione-Jerome Banks in front of a residence at 713 N. Mason St. in Saginaw on Wednesday.

Police were trying to talk with Ontiveroz on Thursday about the homicide investigation when he took off and led police on a pursuit through the city of Saginaw.

He ditched the Chevrolet Malibu he was driving and ran off on foot. A couple hours later, an officer driving in the 5000 block of Hess Road in Buena Vista Township spotted Ontiveroz.

Police surrounded the house and negotiated with him for a couple hours until he surrendered to police.
