Chester Anthony Albosta, Jr., resident of Highland Springs Retirement Community in Dallas Texas, died on August 24, 2013 at home at the age of 79. Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1933 to Chester Anthony Albosta, Sr. and Mary Bonetti, Chet earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, a M.S. in Engineering Science from the University of Dayton, and a Ph.D. in Systems Management from the University of Pittsburgh. Chester and his wife, Marlene, moved to New York in 1956, where Chet began his engineering career at IBM. Over the next 25 years they lived in Ohio, California and Texas, finally settling in Dallas in 1988. During his career Chet developed four U.S. Patents and finally retired from Xerox Corporation in 1989. Chester is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene, and his four children, Teresa, Julie, Michael and Scott, his 11 grandchildren, sister Emily and brother Richard. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Professional Caretakers, Girling Hospice, and Dr. Theresa Eichenwald and her staff for their attention and commitment to Chet. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held Thursday, August 29th at 3pm at Highland Springs Retirement Community 8020 Frankford Rd., Dallas, Texas 75252.
