Gary Wayne Rankin, 64, of Dubois, Pa. formerly of Cassidy Road, Hermitage, Pa., passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 , at his home in DuBois.
Gary was born September 29, 1953, in Sharon, Pa. to the late Harry and Irene (Casedy) Rankin.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha (David) Moldovan.
Gary attended Hickory Schools in Hermitage before moving to DuBois and graduating from the DuBois High School.
He was a skilled Craftsman and after retirement he enjoyed all things outdoors and spent most of his time with his grandchildren. He is well-loved will be greatly missed.
Gary is survived by three daughters and six grandchildren, Danielle (Roman) Arevalo and their children, Sefrah, Jacob and Kaily of Seattle, Washington, Stefanie (Seth) Williams and their children, Gaige, Justice and Zane of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Jillian Rankin of Pittsburgh.
Also surviving are three sisters, Judy (Charles) Nickols of Waterford, Ohio, Delinda McCarrier (Ron Pethick) of San Antonio, Texas, and Donna (Keith) Thompson of Hermitage, Pa.; two brothers, Martin Rankin (Wilma Johnson) of Hermitage and Paul Rankin of San Antonio, Texas; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Cremation: July 24, 2018. A celebration of life on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at the Lion's Sky Lodge, RD Platt Road, DuBois, Pa.
Crematorial/remains will be disturbed at several locations as requested by the deceased.
