William Wiley Dies at 89
Had Lived in Miami For 44 Years
William Wiley, 3818 N. W. Fifteenth Avenue, a retired bricklayer and a resident of Miami for 44 years, died Wednesday in a Miami hospital following a brief illness. He was 89.
One of Miami's earliest citizens, he came here in 1896, the year of its incorporation as a city. He formerly resided in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. R. E. Westman of St. Paul, Minn., two sons, William R. and James H. Wiley, both of Miami.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p. m. Friday in the Philbrick Funeral Home by Rev. W. W. Glenn of the church of which he was a member. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park cemetery.
