Robert Charles Corbin, 84, of Peach Bottom, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care. Born in Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Harry D., and Hazel B. (Whitsel) Corbin. Bob was married to the late Virginia L. Corbin for over 55 years.
Bob had been a valuable employee for several local printing companies. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Bob had attended True Gospel Baptist Church. He enjoyed daily crossword puzzles, working in his yard and was a fan of Pennsylvania sports teams.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Jennifer, wife of Steven Nye of Peach Bottom; 5 granddaughters: Elizabeth Kreider, Sarah Rankin, Kayla and Kendra Corbin, and Jacqueline Miller; two great grandchildren, Paisley and Corbin Rankin and a sister, Della Coder. In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Robert C. Corbin II, and a sister, Anna Mary Gardner.
Bob's funeral service will take place at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville, PA on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow the service in the Quarryville Cemetery.
