Virginia Dare Anderson Bare, 82, of Fancy Gap died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at her residence.
She was born June 14, 1924 in Grayson County to Staley and Flora Bell Halsey Anderson.
Survivors include her husband, James Greer Bare of Fancy Gap; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Joyce and Richard Meadows of Rising Sun, Md.; a son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Franklin and Maria Ellena Bare of Dobson, N.C.; two sisters, Zettie Koutz of Roanoke and Donna King of Rising Sun, Md.; a brother, Dwight Anderson of Ann Arbor, Mich.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home in Galax with the Rev. Hank Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Felts Memorial Cemetery.
