Mr. Flick was born on Oct. 1, 1945, and was a son of the late Harris Elliott and Mary Edith Vandevander Flick Sager. David was a 1964 graduate of Harrisonburg High School and Madison College, and also attended the University of Virginia. He retired as president and CEO of Friendship Industries after 40 years. David was an avid reader and enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with his dogs. He attended West Side Baptist Church.
On July 27, 1969, he married his wife, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Flick is survived by a daughter, a brother, a niece, and many special friends who will greatly miss him.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Early officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Horeb Cemetery.
