Charles Lee Arnold, Sr., age 83 of Lawrenceville passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Stallings will officiate. A son of the late Ernest & Mary Smith Arnold, Charles is preceded in death by his first wife, Trellis Browning Arnold in 2012. He graduated from Bethesda School in 1953, then attended Berry College before joining the Army National Guard. Charles also served as a Deacon of Yellow River Baptist Church in Lilburn. He is remembered as a very hard working man. Charles was instrumental in the development of several properties in Gwinnett County, including the 316 corridor around the Georgia Gwinnett College. He was the owner of Charles L. Arnold Company and Co-owner of Ciara Realty until his death. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Ernestine Hallman Arnold; daughter & son-in-law, Trina & David Hurt; son, Charles Lee Arnold, Jr.; daughter & son-in-law, Trudy & George Gonzalez; son-in-law, Kenny Swaim; step-daughters & sons-in-law, Stephanie & Michael Cooper; Sheri & Tim Benton; sister & brother-in-law, Rebecca & Donald Loggins; sister-in-law, Salena Arnold; 12 grandchildren; & 13 great grandchildren. Charles is also preceded by his daughter, Tracey Swaim; & his brother, Ewell Arnold.
