Clarence (Slim) Aardema, aged 80, of Jenison, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 10, 2005.

He retired from Kelvinator with over 30 years of dedicated service.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Clazina (DeBruin); children, Sue and Will Haveman, Dennis and Sharon Aardema, Sheryl and Randy Ruiter; grandchildren, Jennifer and Mike Moelker, Nicole and Mike Ball, Derek and Nicole Haveman, Amy Aardema, Heather and Jeremiah Little, Mike, and Brandon Ruiter; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Aliesa; brothers, Lee and Leona Aardema, John and Wilvina Aardema; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gert and Joe Timmer, John and Gracia DeBruin; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville, with Rev. Eildert Zwart, officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
