Bonnie Rathbun 89, died in Salina on August 26, 2018. She was born July 15, 1929, to Adolph and Leila (DeLand) Ahlvers in Glen Elder.
She was preceded in death by husband Verdon Peckham, husband Marlin Rathbun, and special friend Ben; and brothers Harold , Melvin, and Raymond Ahlvers.
Bonnie is survived by daughters Bernita Moss of Whitney Point NY, Lila Peckham-Wichman of Overland Park KS, Carol (Ed) Viar of Salina, and son John (Terri) Peckham of Alden KS; ; grandchildren Heidi McNeal, Adam Moss, Nathan and Dustin Wichman, Todd, Lance and James Viar, Sara Johnston, and John and Seth Peckham; 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Diane Ahlvers of Frankfort KS; lots of foster children from her time in Hunter; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at 10:00 am Wednesday 29 August in the Spillman Cemetery south of Hunter KS, with the funeral service following at 11:00 am in the Grace Chapel United Methodist Church in Hunter.
The family will receive friends in the evening of 28 August from 6 to 8 at Arbor Court, 1000 Schippel, Salina.
Memorials may be made to the Grace Chapel United Methodist Church of Hunter in care of the funeral home.
Bonnie is in the care of Hall Funeral Home, 111 East Elm Street, Lincoln KS.
