He was a native of Pitt County, NC and a member of West Hampton Baptist Church. Willie retired from Newport News Shipyard after 33 years of service, and was an Army Veteran.
Mr. Briley is survived by his wife of 40 years, Blanche Lee Briley; 3 stepsons, James Morris Dunn of Princeton, NC, Donald Ray Dunn and Gary Lee Dunn both of Benson, NC; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Jean Dickens of Williamston, NC; a brother, W. Churchill Briley of Robbersonville, NC. He was predeceased by 2 step daughters, Maxine Jackson and Janice Morgan; a sister Armissie B. Jackson and 2 brothers, Kenneth L. Briley and Lawrence Briley.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville, NC.
