Thornton Robertson Lee, 85, of Turlock died Monday at Emanuel Medical Center.
Mr. Lee was a native of San Francisco. He lived in Turlock two years. He was manager of Connel Motors. He was raised in and around Quincy, and with his extensive knowledge of the area he helped firefighting crews navigate the rough terrain. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He was an Army Corps of Engineers veteran of World War II; he was in charge of building airfields and bridges. He belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was survived by his wife, a daughter, a son, and five grandchildren.
[He was survived by his second wife Margaret Eleanor Ruppert Lee. His first wife Cecile Grace Kern Lee passed away in 1963.]
