He is survived by his wife, Mildred Louise (Isaac) Slater; daughters, Sandra G. Slater and Stephanie L. Slater of Knoxville; son Gregory C. (Barbara) Slater of Lexington, KY; grandsons Chris Slater and Stephen (Tanya) Slater of Lexington, KY; and great-granddaughter Sydney L. Slater of Lexington, KY.

Interment in Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV.
