Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Lightsey Wilson, 60, of Clayton, LA will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ron Ledford officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Wilson was born December 8, 1946 in Morehouse Parish to Anne & Bill Caffrey. Her family moved to Ferriday for work. She graduated from Ferriday High School and married Roy Wilson in 1965 and they made there home in Ferriday, La. and later moved to Clayton, La. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed away after a lengthy illness Saturday February 24, 2007 in Clayton. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Vidalia, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include:
Husband of 41 years Roy Wilson of Clayton, La.
Son-Shannon Wilson and wife Christy of Clayton, La.
Son-Dereck Wilson and wife Vickie of Ridgecrest, La.
Also surviving are 6 Granchildren-Macey, Anna, & Madison Wilson, Hannah, Jackie & James Denny and one Great grandchild Lelan Bass
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, La. from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2007.
