Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Washington Assembly of God in Washington officiated by Pastor Daniel Haskett. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM until the service hour at the church. Burial will follow in Mack Smith Cemetery in Calico.
Jamie was born June 1, 1971 in Beaufort County, the son of Lavern McLawhorn Adams and the late Carlton Lee Adams. He married Paula Knox on October 21, 1998. Jamie worked with PCS, formerly Texas Gulf Phosphate, for eight years and was owner of Adams Brothers Painting. He loved his family and enjoyed playing video games with his children Justin and Carly; they also enjoyed the truck rides they took on many occasions with their dad. Jamie was proud of his children who both were members of the National Honor Society. He was an organ donor and his family wanted to share that three families have been helped by his decision to be a donor. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife: Paula Knox Adams of Washington; his daughter: Carly Renee Adams; son: Justin Lee Adams both of Washington; mother: Lavern Mclawhorn Adams of Washington; sister: Jennifer Ratcliff and husband Sandy of Washington; two brothers: David Adams of Washington and Austin Hardee of Ayden. He was preceded in death by a brother: William "Pee Wee" Carlton Adams.
