He was the son of the late Henry Jeffers and the late Laura Brandon and husband to Mrs. Arlania Love Jeffers of the home.
In addition to his wife, sons, Curtis Jeffers and Dallas Jeffers of the home, daughters, Sarah (Filmor) Wright of Yanceyville, Phyllis McBroom (Tony) of Graham, Diane Slade (Johnny) of Elon, Brenda Mumphrey (Floyd) of Burlington, Angela Jeffers of Greensboro, brothers, Alvin Jeffers (Doris) of Burlington, Eugene Jeffers (Marie) of Pleasant Grove, Melvin Jeffers (Marionette) of Burlington, sisters, Jerelean Jones, Patricia Jones, Virginia Mack, and Lottie Thomas (Arthur) 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one child, Maggie Louise Williams, two brothers, Howard "June" Jeffers and James Jeffers, and one sister, Nannie Johnson.
He loved driving his truck and enjoyed mowing yards. He owned and operated a landscaping business for several years.
He also loved talking junk and enjoyed his family.
He especially loved spending time with all his grandchildren.
