PATRICIA RUTH (ROBINSON) FISHBURN:

Patricia Ruth (Robinson) Fishburn of Purcell died Sunday April 15, 2007 at Norman Regional Hospital, Norman, Oklahoma.

Fishburn, 70, was born, March 28, 1937 in Dalhart, Texas, to Milton Homer (Bunk) and Mildred (Graham) Robinson.

They moved to Los Angeles, California, during World War II where her father worked in an airplane factory. They returned to Boise City, Oklahoma, after the war.

She graduated from Boise City High School, and met the love of her life, Ron Fishburn, from Purcell, who was working for the Soil Conservation Service as a soil scientist. They were married on January 16, 1958 in Clayton, New Mexico and moved to Purcell. They reared seven children. Due to Ron's military career, the family moved around, but they maintained their home in Purcell where they raised most of their family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Pat worked tirelessly as a homemaker and worked hard caring for her family. She spent countless hours serving as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for her five boys. She was a gifted artist. She enjoyed woking with her hands, especially painting, crocheting, quilting and sewing. She was very involved with the church and a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Noble where she served as a Primary Teacher and nursery leader for many years.

She was preceded in death by, her father, a son, Lorne Milton Fishburn, a brother, Donnie Robinson.

She is survived by her husband of more than forty-nine years, Ron of the home; her mother Mildred Robinson of Purcell; two daughters, Leah and husband Joe Ballard of Purcell; and Ronda and husband Matt Evans of Prattville, Alabama; four sons, Tol of Anchorage, Alaska; Brett and wife Chris of Krum, Texas; Tate and wife Margaret of Corrales, New Mexico and Graham and wife Deborah of Blanchard, Oklahoma; her brother Jerry and wife Teddi Robinson of Fort Lee, New Jersey; 22 grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday April 20, 2007 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Ron Fishburn officated.

Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home.
