Funeral services for Jacqueline Diane (Ritter) Guthery, 72, of Tuttle, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in the First Baptist Church of Tuttle with Pastor Fred King officiating.

Jacqueline Diane (Ritter) Guthery was born April 22, 1946 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Averette Coleman Ritter and Ola Adeline (Johnson) Ritter. She passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In Diane’s earlier years, her father was a streetcar conductor and her mother was a school teacher. In her later childhood years, Diane moved with her family to Atwood, Oklahoma. Her father ran a grocery store with his brother. She graduated high school in 1964 as Salutatorian of her class.

She then attended Southeastern College for a year before going to at work the Department of Human Services, where she met her husband, Charles “Charley” Guthery and on August 23, 1969, they were married in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They had a daughter, Angela and were married for almost 49 years.

Diane enjoyed cooking, shopping with friends, and eating out. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School and she loved reading the Bible. Diane taught her grandson, Tyler, to play the piano, which she thoroughly loved. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.

She was preceded in death by both parents.

Diane is survived by her husband, Charley, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Clint Kelsey of Tuttle; four grandchildren, Tyler Guthery, Mikyla Guthery, Kyler and Kailyn Kelsey; many friends, cousins, and other extended family.

The family would like to thank our church family for their support, prayers, and encouragement, Choice Home Health nurse, Toni Henning, the transplant team at Integris Baptist Hospital, and Senior Village Care in Blanchard.

Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
