On June 17th, 2018, Our Lord, who art in Heaven, received the greatest Father’s Day gift of all time. This world lost a best friend, co-pilot, treasure hunter, adventurer, partner-in-crime, artist, hero, cancer-fighter and all around rock-star kid. Christian James Albain, 10, of Toledo, OH, passed away in the arms of his loving parents after a valiant battle with leukemia at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH. He was born August 23, 2007 in Toledo, OH to Christopher Albain and Brittney Styer. Christian came into this world with a natural kindness and the ability to make friends with everyone he met. He loved his family, above all else, and will always be idolized by his siblings, cousins and numerous other family and friends. Christian’s superpower was having a heart big enough to fit everyone he knew. He meant so much to so many, and impacted everyone with displays of pure love and strength beyond his years. He was so proud of his brave fight against his cancer. Christian just completed 4th grade at Walbridge Elementary and lived his short life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He enjoyed arts and crafts, dancing, camping, fishing, bike rides and collecting trinkets of all kinds. He had a passion for animals and motorcycles, loved theatre and going for rides in his classic 1980 Camaro, most of all he enjoyed spending time with loved ones. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Brittney Styer; father Christopher Albain; step parents, Gary Vance Jr. and Samantha Albain; sisters, Sophia and Diamond; brothers Blake and Cayden; grandparents, Jonathan (Therese) Albain; Sharon Saul; Thomas (Sherry) Styer Jr. and Michele Hunt along with numerous great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may join the family for visitation at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 3pm to 8pm where the Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 25 at 12pm. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville. The family wishes to thank the efforts of Dr. Crawford Strunk, Dr. Dave and special nurse Ashleigh at Toledo Children’s PICU and Christian’s favorite chemo nurse, Aunt Ham. They also send gratitude to the staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital PICU. Please consider donations directly to the family to help with expenses. We are so sorry you had to go, but know you would not have left if you didn’t have to. You fought well buddy, now you are free. We will celebrate you everyday.
