Margaret Sanderson Herring, 79, of Wilson, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018. She was born in Wayne County to the late George C. and Estelle Smith Sanderson.
In addition to her membership at First Baptist Church, she enjoyed helping with Meals-on-Wheels and working in the Forest Hills Garden Club.
Surviving is her husband, Donald W. Herring; daughters, Melanie Herring of the home and Marianna Parker (Kevin) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Chase and Blake Parker of Wilmington; and sister, Joyce S. Barwick of Grantham.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Service, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1467, Wilson, NC 27894-1467.
