(After Josephine's father, Vincenzo "Vincent" Casabianca, died from TB in 1913, her mother, Louise, changed her last name to Whitehouse which is the English translation of Casabianca. Josephine's mother then married Conrad Joseph "Coons" Helmer and he adopted Josephine and her brother, James.)

Motorist Says He Drove Fatal Hit-Run Car
A motorist who identified himself to police as Francis J. Deinzer, 27, of 118 Knox Ave., yesterday afternoon was given a summons charging him with leaving the scene of a fatal accident early Sunday in Abbott Rd. near Stevenson St. Victim of a hit-run auto was Joseph Finucane, 46, of 148 Vincennes St., father of 11 children.

According to Lieut. John M. Cleary of the Police Accident Record Bureau, Deinzer came to police headquarters voluntarily, accompanied by an attorney, and explained that Monday he noticed the front fender of his car was damaged.

Deinzer said later that day, after reading a newspaper account of the accident, he remembered that he had been driving in the vicinity of the accident scene at about the time the fatality occurred, Lieut. Cleary related.

The motorist is slated to appear in City Court this morning. Meanwhile, the police scientific laboratory, began examination of his auto.
