Asheville - Nina Duncan Treadway, 75, of Asheville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Ms. Treadway worked as an X-Ray Technician, training at St. Joseph Hospital and worked for many years with Hygeia Family Medicine. She was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church, where she was active in the Handbell Choir. Ms. Treadway was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ, leading many people to Him through her love and dedication. She was the daughter of the late Lucille Duncan.

Mrs. Treadway was the loving mother to Sean Treadway, and Kenny Treadway and wife Katherine; loving grandmother to Bailey Treadway, Kenly Treadway, and Charlie Treadway, and loving sister to Reba Ross and Barbara Ingle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday at Pole Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718, or to Pole Creek Baptist Church, 96 Snow Hill Church Road, Candler, NC 28715.

The family would like to offer a heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Michael Messino and all the staff of Cancer Care of Western North Carolina.
