Early Life: John was born July 21, 1931, in San Francisco, California, to Phillip Guy Burston and Alyce Marie Taupiac Burston.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: John was married to Shirley and they had five children together: Lori, Scott, Leslie, Ann and Chris. Later, he married Mary Ann Curran, who had four children: David, Peggy, John and Ana Beth. John loved his callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, especially his last calling as a temple worker in the Mount Timpanogos Utah LDS Temple. He loved to act in plays, travel, play billiards and be with friends. Archeology and ancient history were his passions, along with Jazz music. John William Merritt-Burston passed away May 25, 2018, in Payson, Utah. He was 86.
