Tyler Leon Smith, age 18, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, near Harmon, in Boone County, Arkansas.

Tyler was born September 24, 1999, at Springdale, Arkansas to Shawn and JoAnne (Whiteley) Smith.

Tyler was a Senior at Huntsville High School and a member of the football team.

He attended Astounding Grace Church at Hindsville.

He was a member of the Little Britches Rodeo Association, the Arkansas High School Rodeo Association, and had signed as a member of the Fort Scott Community College Rodeo Team as a full-scholarship saddle bronc rider.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and JoAnn Carter; great-grandparents, Calvin and Lela Reeder, Ray and Margaret Duncan, Bob Spidle, Fay and Wilda Smith, and Herb and Trudy Whiteley.

He is survived by his parents, Shawn (and Cheryl) Smith, and JoAnne (and Jerry) Whisenhunt, all of Huntsville; two brothers, Cooper Smith, and Aiden Whisenhunt, of Huntsville; two sisters, Madison Hayes of Huntsville, and Brianna Whisenhunt of Fort Smith; grandparents, Ronnie and Anita Smith of Cass, and Jim and Dixie Spidle of Huntsville; and great-grandfather, Wayland Padgett of Beebe.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Brashears Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018, at Sky High Arena in Huntsville with Butch Bolinger officiating. There will be a casket branding held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the arena.

Interment will immediately follow the service at the Bohannan Mountain Cemetery.

Services are in care of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
