Was called home peacefully to God’s loving arms while he slept May 7, 2018 at the age of 75. Devoted husband to Karen (nee Houghton) for 48 years. Loving father to Annette Adrian of Brookfield, WI, Michelle (Steve) Lyons of Sturgis, MI, Rachael (Tom) Schultz of Brookfield, WI, and Robert (Patty) Adrian of Brown Deer, WI. His 3 grandchildren were his pride and joy Athenas Villarreal, Benjamin and Chistopher Adrian. Further survived by his siblings Karl (Sharron) Adrian of Yale, MI, Fred (Karen) Adrian of Wyoming, MI, and Louise (Mike) Jaskoski of Kingsport, TN and brother and sister in law Larry and Delores Houghton of Cassville, WI, sister and brother in law June and (late) Roger Loomis as well as many nephews and neices and grand-nephews and grand-neices whom he loved very much. Bob was born in Port Huron, Michigan February 12, 1943 to Robert Charles August Adrian and Sylvia Ruth (nee Hinkley). Was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church, (ALC), Imlay City, Michigan by Pastor Albert Teitz on April 11, 1943. Confirmed in the Lutheran Church May 29, 1957 by Pastor H.C. Buch. Married to Karen June 14, 1970 at St. John Lutheran Church, Baraboo, WI by Pastor Emil Toepel. Bob’s brother Fred served as Best Man and Karen’s sister June Loomis served as Matron of Honor.

Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Mt. Lebanon Lutheran Church, 4809 North 60th Street Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218. Service to follow at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Mt. Lebanon Building Fund.

Robert Charles Adrian, Jr. was baptized April 11, 1943 at St. Paul Evangelical (ALC) Lutheran Church in Imlay City, MI by Rev Tieta. His sponsors were Cornelia Theel and Harold Schmaltz. On May 19, 1957 he was confirmed at Redeemer (WELS) Lutheran Church of Yale, MI by the Rev. Buch. After attending elementary school in Yale he enrolled in the Michigan Lutheran Seminary at Saginaw, MI. After one year he continued his high school at Yale, graduating in 1961. In 1961 Robert attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota from where he graduated in June 1966.

In 1963-1964 he was an emergency grade 4-6 teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School in Wonewoc, WI. From 1966-1972 he was organist, choir director and teacher of grades 4 - 6 at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran School in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Then from 1972 to 1977 he became the Principal, organist, choir director and teacher of grades 6 - 8 at the Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran School in Tawas, Michigan.

The years 1979 to 1983 he became the church organist, choir director, and teacher of grades 7-8 at the St Paul Evangelical Lutheran School in Norfolk, Nebraska.

After September 12, 1983 and until retirement he was employed by the Northwestern Publishing House of Milwaukee, WI working in the Customers Adjustments and Audio Visual Library.

"Bob" enjoyed working on family genealogy. Along with me we created the Friedrich Horn family history in three volumes. Bob independently added hundreds of obituaries to Find A Grave website of individuals as found in many newspapers.
