Herman Belinski, 85, of St. Petersburg, FL and formerly of Bridgeport, son of the late George and Mary (Strempel) Belinski, passed away on January 25, 2016. He is the beloved father of John Belinski, Donna Merlo and her partner Bill Zdanowicz, and Richard Belinski and his wife Laurie. Herman was grandfather to Jimmy, Christo Jo, Michael and Alex and great-grandfather to Noah. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Charlene Buckley and Leslie Stevens of Oregon. He will also be missed by his longtime friend and caretaker, Daniel Evans who was of tremendous support especially over the last few years. He was predeceased by his wife Natalie Belinski who passed away in 1987 as well as his brothers, Robert and John and his sister, Irene Stevens. He served as an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force from March, 1950 through September, 1952. Herman was a teacher for a number of years at Central High in Bridgeport and then worked as a Business Manager for a number of private schools in various parts of the country. He was also an Antique Dealer and collector in his spare time. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 9:00 AM in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a service at 11:00 AM in St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 733 3rd Ave., 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10017 or Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 3760, in memory of Herman.
