Actor. Dayton Lummis broke into motion pictures in 1953 when he appeared in five films: "Man in the Dark,” Marlon Brando's "Julius Caesar,”  "All I Desire,” "The Golden Blade" (with Rock Hudson), and the Edmond O'Brien film "China Venture" (1953). He was soon a familiar face to movie goers, appearing in such noted films as "The Glenn Miller Story" (1954), "High Society" (1955), "Prince of Players" (1955) with Richard Burton, "The Prodigal" (1955) with Lana Turner, and "Spartacus" (1960) with Kirk Douglas. He was a regular on such TV series as General Electric Theater (1953 - 1957), Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1956 - 1958), Law of the Plainsman (1959 - 1960), Wagon Train (1959 - 1963), and Bonanza (1960 - 1965) and made numerous guest appearances on shows like The Magical World of Disney, My Three Sons and Gunsmoke.
