Callie DeLoatch Artis entered into rest Saturday, March 24, 2018, in Fairfield. Callie was born April 22, 1917, in Virginia, to Eddie and Linie Edmonds.
Callie enjoyed helping people as a beautician and caregiver for over 20 years, along with her enjoyments in her church and family. She had a unique hobby in designing hats, and enjoyed showing them off to family and friends. Callie was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Callie is survived by her family, Annette DeLoatch, daughter-in-law; grandsons, Marvin R. DeLoatch, Jr. and Darrell DeLoatch; granddaughters, Tammy DeLoatch, Kim Campbell, Wendi Reed and Dayne Martinez; along with 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as several great-great-grandchildren.
Callie was preceded in death by her husband, Hurley Artis of Newsom, Virginia; and only son, SMSGT Marvin R. DeLoatch, Sr.; two brothers and three sisters.
Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield. Following the service a committal service will be held at Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield.
Aged 100 years.
