Middle Name is Andrew not Andrew's as Legacy.com has it. In Obit, Ray is listed as brother, editing error for the original transcript said Dave consider his Cousin Ray as a brother. I know because I was there when it was written and submitted.

Theresa Ann Bowen was born 2 April 1953 and passed 9 days after her husband Dave on 25 March 2010 at 56 years old. Theresa's final words were she was going home to Dave. Some say their spirits still walk the properties at 70 Happy Jack Trail, Goshen.

Dave was known for playing & singing bluegrass music all over Virginia. Later on, Theresa learned to play the guitar and joined Dave playing music.

David Andrew Spangler, 66, of 70 Happy Jack Trail, Goshen, VA, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at his residence. David was born June 12, 1943 in Montgomery County, a son of the late Isaac Eldridge Spangler and Ethel Beatrice Craighead-Spangler.

David was retired truck driver with Landford Brothers, Inc. in Roanoke.

He was a member of the Goshen Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Paul Daniel; Bernard Matthew; James Arnold; Howard Kenneth; Billie Eugene, and Avis Lee

Surviving are his wife, Theresa Ann Bowen Spangler of Goshen; one son Steven L. Spangler of Rocky Mount; one daughter, Shawn Marie Altice of Martinsville; grandddaughter, Desiree "Desi" Gamez of Martinsville, Debby Spangler-Haymaker who lives in the home and helped Dave crossover and is helping Theresa through her grief, two brothers, John Winfield of Salem; Jonathan Wainwright of Blacksburg, and a sister, Mary Ruth Spangler-Haymaker (Rufus) and her husband, Wayne of Virginia Beach; Sister-law Edith Schaetzl-Spangler of Roanoke; Sister-in-law Dorothy Jean Harris-Spangler; Cousin Ray of Shawsville, whom he considered a brother, and several nieces and nephews.
