Alma Beatrice Cherry, 98, of Elliston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her late husband William W. Cherry, Sr.; her parents William W. & Ardella C. Spangler; and her dear brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Cherry is survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, from 6-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 27th at 11 am in the Spangler Family Cemetery, Shawsville. Chaplain Todd Triplett will officiate the service.

Alma's stone faces road; however, her coffin is laid left to right under the stone. Our family was very upset that her coffin across the foot of other graves.
