Father: Samuel Joseph Landon Conner
Mother: Mary Catherine Oakes
Husband: William Winfield Spangler
Children: Sons - 5 & Daughters - 6 = 11 Kids

Grandma Della's other nickname was Minda. She really did not care for it.

Mountain Laurel (www.MtnLaurel.com) did an interesting interview of Great Grandma Della. Truly a very amazing salt of the earth lady. Until the day that Great Grandma passed, she had her wits about her. Every morning had her coffee and corn bread crumbled in butter milk. Everyone supplied Great Grandma chocolate that she loved so much. Always courteous and offered to share her chocolate. Mid morning and early evening was strolls to check out the flowers. Great Grandma loved to listen to her Grandkids and Great Grandkids music. I introduced Great Grandma Della and Grandma Ethel to Harlequin Romance Books. Every afternoon, they would spend a couple of hours reading.

I asked Great Grandma Della how was it growing so old. Great Grandma said that it was very very sad and hard. You out live your parents, siblings, spouse, and friends but the worse part is out living your children. Great Grandma said you give thanks each day and remember y'all will all be together again.
