Mr. Charles (Charley or "Hoagy") James Preshaw, 78, died March 21, 2018 at his home in Hemet, CA. He was born Feb 4, 1940, in Hemet, CA to Polly Chase Preshaw (later Seares) and Marvil James Preshaw. Charley was the grandson of Hollywood comedian, Charley Chase (died June 20, 1940). He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 and served in the Ramona Outdoor Pageant for more than 40 years. He was a fun-loving, doting, proud father and grandpappy- survived by daughter, Paula Davey and son-in-law John Davey; grandchildren, Maxine Davey and Lila Davey; and former wife, Gene Senier. Here today, gone to Maui! Please join the party you know my dad would want us to have. Friends and family can pay their respects graveside on Friday, April 13 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, 2555 Santa Fe, San Jacinto, California, 92583. Following that, there will be a celebration of life from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Arturo's Grill, 253 E. Stetson, Hemet, to raise a glass in his honor.
