Jennie A. Penzenstadler, age 92, of Oshkosh, died in her sleep Friday, July 24, 1998, at the Oshkosh Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She resided there for three years after having suffered a stroke.

She was born April 3, 1906, on a farm in northern Wisconsin. She was the third oldest of twelve children born to Herman and Johana Someson Behm.

Jennie was trained as a telephone operator and lived in Milwaukee, later moving to Oshkosh. While working, she helped raise several of her brothers and sisters, enabling them to complete High School. On June 24, 1939, she married Joseph "Jojo" Penzenstadler, partner and proprietor of the Recreation Bowling Lanes.

Jennie is survived by her husband, Joseph, of Oshkosh, and her son and daughter-in-law and their two children

A memorial gathering will be held at 312 Rosalia St., Monday, July 27, 1998, between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. The Poklasny Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
