R.L. Mason Jr., 87, of Quebeck passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital.
Born April 10, 1930, he was the son of Ray Mason and Augusta Cox Mason.
He was of Baptist faith. He worked as a lumber inspector for 45 years and was a lifelong farmer, which was his passion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Franklin Dee Mason; and sister, Mary Frances Mason.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Luzelle Clark Mason; daughter, Kay Mason Maples and husband, Ray of Sparta; grandson, Allen Maples and wife, Billie Jo of Quebeck; granddaughter, Michelle Maples of Doyle; great-grandchildren, Jacob Maples and Anna Maples; sister-in-law, Vivian Dodson of McMinnville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Dewey Young officiating. Burial will follow in Jericho Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
Lloyd Nash, James Miller, Gary Witt, Mark Sullivan, Doan Sullivan, Josh Denton, Jerry Denton, Frank Stafford, Kyle Clouse, and R.C. Christian will serve as pallbearers.
