Jedediah Mac Reagan, age 38, passed away at his Sevierville home Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

He was born May 16, 1979 to Jack and Nina (McMahan) Reagan and later loved by step-mother Edna (Ogle) Reagan.

Lifelong resident of Sevier County, Jed was devoted to the one and only love of his life of 13 years, his amazing family, and his friends that were just as close as family. He was as stubborn headed as he was big hearted. Once he loved you, he always loved you and would do anything for you. He also loved his two boxer dogs, Grady and Ranger; round-track racing; Fords; football; and Waylon Jennings. He was just a good ol’ boy makin’ his way the only way he knew how.

An alumnus of Sevier County High School (shout-out to Breeden), Jed was a long-time Chemical Operator at Johnson Matthey Catalysts. He loved his work family and special friends Jay & Karen Daniels, Wes Carr, Donna Watson, Michael Dockery, Jeff McCarter, and Tim Ward. With his wife, the Hales, and the Bradleys, he attended The Avenue Church in Morristown.

He was preceded in death by his little sister, Jacqueline Reagan; hero papaw, Clyde McMahan; adored mamaw, Doris McFall; dear step-papaw, J.W. Ogle; much-loved step-mamaw, Eula Ogle.

His survivors include his beloved wife, Amy (Eastep) Reagan (m. Sept 24, 2011 in Sevierville); saint of a mother, Nina (McMahan) Reagan; strong-willed father, Donald Jack Reagan; even stronger step-mother, Edna (Ogle) Reagan; partner-in-crime brother, Zachary Reagan; meandering father-in-law, Simon Ray Eastep; favorite mother-in-law, Diane Eastep; special sister-in-law, Jennifer Eastep; precious nephew Jace Reagan; angel nieces, Vera Eastep and Ruby Eastep-Sieber; treasured mamaw, Ada Louise (Sims) McMahan; and so many aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly.

Pallbearers will be Jed’s brother, Zachary Reagan, and Jed’s “brothers” of 20+ years: life-long friend Randy Morris, Larry Justus, James Hale, Nathan Dunn, Aaron Allison, Ben Ellison, Chris Smith, Eric Baker, John Hancock, Scottie Vineyard, and Shawn Bradley. They’re all thicker than thieves!

When Jed left us, he left a hole in the hearts of everyone that knew him. He will be deeply missed until we see him again. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Memorial donations may be made to benefit Jed’s family.

His family will receive friends 5-7 PM Monday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Jed will be laid to rest on 11 AM Tuesday at the Middle Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
