Funeral services for John Bush, 71, of Thomasville will be 2:00PM, Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Mitch Connor and Rev. Andy Hall will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bush passed away on March 13, 2018 in Tallahassee, Florida. Born August 5, 1946 in Donaldsonville, Georgia, he was the son the late Edward and Myrtle Cowart Bush. He was married to Suzanne Norman Bush, who survives. Mr. Bush was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a retired electrician at Archbold Memorial Hospital and he also retired from Brown and Root. He was a former Thomas County Building Inspector as well. Mr. Bush loved fishing, going to yard sales, the mountains, collecting trains and raising little dachshunds. Other survivors include daughters, Trina Bush, Tammy Ward and husband Sheldon, all of Thomasville, Tess Hower and husband Solomon of Oak Harbor, Washington; step-sons, Chad Ruh (Katie) and Pete Ruh (Jesse) both of Thomasville; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Lawrence McGlashan, Robin Norman, Joel Norman and mother-in-law, Cherry Norman. He was preceded in death by his first wife Reathea NeSmith Bush, brother, David Bush, and his sister Delma McGlashan.
