Shirley Ann Polivka, 63, 316A South Caswell St., LaGrange, NC, died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Shirley was born in Wilmington to the late John Tony Polivka Sr. and Estelle Quinn Polivka. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She was the best cook in the world. She cooked for many years at The Packhouse. She was so much fun and so funny.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Williams and Terry Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

She is survived by two children, Michelle Moore and husband, James, of La Grange and Scott Polivka and wife, Karen, of Wisconsin; sister, Nettie Price of LaGrange; brothers, John Polivka Jr. of Arkansas and James Polivka of Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Joshua and Kourtney Street, Jordan Moore, John, C.J. and Alex Polivka.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service Saturday and at other times they will be at the home of James and Michelle Moore, 401 Ellington Way, LaGrange.
