Wallace A. Bailey, 81, of Portsmouth, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.

Wallace was born July 4, 1936 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Boyd Douglas and Pearl Pace Bailey.

Wallace was a Wheelersburg High School graduate, worked at the former Detroit Steel and then was Porter Township Park Manager. He attended Christ United Methodist Church. Wally was involved with Wheelersburg Athletes for over 30 years from little league to High School including Boosters.

In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his wife, Hannah Flannagan Bailey, December 10, 2011 whom he married July 18, 1955 in Wheelersburg. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ron Bailey; a daughter, Libby Bowen and two sisters, Betty Swick and Lilly Williams.

Wally is survived by a son, Gary (Carol) Bailey; two daughters, Debbie (Cleve) Bias and Tammie (Danny) Webb; a brother, Charles Bailey; two sisters, Faye Woodrum and Tootsie Castle; twelve grandchildren, Aaron Bailey, Kayln Hoover, Abby Bailey, Allie Bailey, Lynsey Blume, Cody Bias, Adam Bailey, Jessica Bailey, Boyd Bailey, Bailey Bowen, Austin Webb and Katie McLemore; 15 great grandchildren, Rayce, Haylen Ella, Emma, Grayson, Libby, Kate, Matt, Dustin, Jessica, Jack, Eli, Brody, Reed and Milly.

Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
