Merlyn "Henry" Eugen Cole, age 81 of South Webster, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at SOMC in Portsmouth.

He was born September 14, 1936 in Wheelersburg to Reverend Raymond and Carrie (Arthur) Cole.

After graduating from South Webster High School as part of the class of 1954, he worked for over 39 years for the New Boston Coke Plant from which he retired. For many of those years he also worked as a salesman for Hanes Chevrolet. Henry attended Minford Bible Baptist Church in Minford and in his spare time, he really enjoyed hunting and fishing. When not out tracking down a turkey or a deer, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Burial will be in South Webster Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Norma, to whom he was married for over 63 years; daughters, Sherry (Larry) Moore of South Webster and Terry (Tim) Hall of Wheelersburg; sisters, Judy (Raymond) Schaeffer of South Webster and Carol (Roger) Coburn of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Jason (Betsie) Moore, Larrin (Jordan) Fulton, Erica (Jim) Staten, Erin (Alex) Prater, and Elista (Derek) Lewis; great-grandchildren, Kori, Addi, and Rhia Moore, Lilly and Kai Fulton, Logan and Skylynn Staten, Timmy and Krista Williams, and Brady Prater.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Carl "Jeep" Cole; sister, Juanita Fenton.
