Mary Ann Jarvis, 63, died April 2, 2007. Mrs. Jarvis was born in Portsmouth to the late Leonard Flynn and Elizabeth Ann Vaughn Lassiter. She was a devoted, loving and caring spouse, mother and grandmother who loved being with her family. Mrs. Jarvis was predeceased by her brother, David Lassiter.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 21 years, James "Jim" Charles Jarvis; daughters, Lisa Ann Taylor and Carleen Elizabeth Evans of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Michael, Arthur and Amanda all of Chesapeake; sister, Elizabeth Mintz and husband Wilson of Chesapeake; stepson Charles K. Jarvis of Chesapeake; beloved pets, Molly and Samantha; and nephews, Gary and Wilson Mintz and David and Michael Lassiter.
The family will receive friends at Twifords Colonial Chapel today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, with the Rev. Johnny McDonald officiating.
