He was a graduate of Hampshire High School and worked as a carpenter in construction.
Surviving with his mother is his step-father, Mike Corbin, a son, Tucker Evans of Romney; a brother, Boyd S. Abrell and wife Megan of Woodstock, VA; a sister, Dawn Weston and husband Chad of Olathe, Kansas; two half-sisters, Stacy Blasko of Las Vegas, NV; Sabrina Kumulides of Capon Bridge, WV; special friend, Diannia Chaney of Romney; a step-brother, Zat Corbin of Romney; a step-sister, Shena Corbin of Romney; two step-sons, Kris Leaper and Cody Leaper, a step-daughter, Ashley Shorter and nieces and nephews.
