Albertina "Tina” Barton of Ozark was born September 21, 1917, and passed away October 28, 2007. Tina was preceded in death by husband Herschel Barton. A long time resident of Ozark, Tina served in World War II as a nurse, practiced nursing, teaching and volunteering. As a devout Catholic of St. Joseph the Worker in Ozark, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Kassner and Mickey Soenen; a step-daughter, Barbara Sandifer; five children, Stephen, Stanley and wife, Beverly, Anita and husband, Larry McCord, Ronnie and wife, Sandy, Janice and husband, Stephen Irsik; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family and close friends. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2007, in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Ozark, with Father Paul McLoughlin officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Weaver Cemetery. A prayer service will be 5 p.m. Thursday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, followed by visitation until 7:30 p.m.

She is survived by sister Mary Kassner of El Paso, Texas and Mickey Soenen of Kansas City, Kan.; a step-daughter, Barbara Sandifer; Children, Stephen, Stanley and Anita Barton of Ozark, Ronnie of Peel, Ark. and Janice Irsik of Walnut Grove; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, Brooke, Ashly, Taylor, Stephen and Amanda; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends. A long time resident of Ozark, Tina served in World War II as a nurse, practiced nursing, teaching and volunteering.
