Early Life: Shirley was born August 3, 1930, in Arcadia, Utah, to Francis "Marion" and Gladys Shields Ross, one of their seven children.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: She married Floyd Mecham, later divorced. On February 6, 1970, Shirley then married Robert William "Bob" Ernest; they were later sealed October 14, 2017, in the Provo City Center Temple. Shirley's great love, besides her family and dear friends, was genealogy and illustration. Using either photo or Japanese painting she would illustrate Bob's insightful poems and combine them into book form to be shared with family and friends. Shirley Ross Mecham Ernest, of Provo, Utah, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 2, 2018, her daughter, Tami, and granddaughter, Sarah, were with her. Shirley was 87.
Family Message: "We take comfort in knowing that Shirley is with her one true love, Bob, and other family already passed."
Survived By: Her three daughters: Carol Ann Heusser, of Garland, Utah; Melanie Boyer, of Libby, Montana; and Tami Heuser, of Provo, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: Her husband, Bob; her parents, her sons: Frank and Jack; her two brothers: Loryn and Allen Dale; and her sister, Arlene.
