Iroquois West High School student Darin A. Krones, 17, of rural Danforth, IL, died at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday afternoon, March 22, 2007, from an auto accident in rural Gilman, IL.

His funeral mass will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 26, 2007 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Gilman, IL., with Rev. John Balluff officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Gilman. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman, IL. Memorials may be made to a Scholarship Fund that will be established in Darin's name.

Darin was born on July 24, 1989 in Kankakee, IL to Steven F. & Debra A. (Ruder) Krones. He was a Senior at Iroquois West High School in Gilman. Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister - Victoria A. Krones of Danforth. Grandparents - Ralph & Phyliss Ruder of Ashkum and Eugene & Betty Krones of Williford, Arkansas. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Special Friends. Pre-decedents - GreatGrandparents and several Aunts and Uncles.

Darin was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Gilman and an Altar Boy. Darin was also a Member of the Iroquois West F.F.A., Officer for F.F.A. serving as a Student Advisor and Sentinel, Iroquois West Football Team, Spirit Club, Danforth Blue Ribbon 4H Club and the Iroquois West Youth League. He worked for Douglas Hansen, his Grandfather and Uncle doing farm work. Darin enjoyed showing pigs, Hunting, Fishing, Farming and Restoring Tractors.


Pallbearers were Jace McGehee, Scott Dietz, Drew Porter, Brett Wauthier, Matt Hoekstra and Jeff Redenius. Honorary pallbearers were Sean Barnes, Luke and Brandon Krones, Zachary and Brant Ruder, Adam Lemenager and Billy Bretzman.
