Mary Emeline Kennedy, 99, of 2100 E State Street, died at 2:50 pm Sunday, July 4, 2004, in St Anthony Health Care. Born January 27, 1905, in Cutler, Carroll County, she graduated from Cutler High School and attended business college for a year. She had lived in Lafayette since 1823. She married William E Kennedy on April 14, 1924, in Lafayette. He died December 22, 1979. Mrs Kennedy was a homemaker. She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church and Women's Missionary Society. She enjoyed sewing. Surviving are a son, William Max Kennedy (wife, Betty) of Springfield, Illinois; and daughters, Dolores Thayer and Patricia Swindle (husband Frank), both of Lafayette. Visitation from 11 am Wednesday, until services at 1 PM. Soller Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Survivors include 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 14 great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a grandchild, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
