Ocala - Gladys Dunn Fortner, 95, formerly of Ocala, Florida died peacefully in her daughter's home in Marietta, Georgia, May 22, 2015.
She was born in Miami, Florida August 12, 1919, daughter of John Milburn Dunn and Georgia Trail Dunn. She spent her life devoted to her husband James Edward Fortner and their two daughters, Ann and Mary Jane and their families. A gifted pianist, seamstress, gardener, writer and artist she met her husband, Ed at the Max Fleischer studios in Miami where they worked on such animated films as Popeye, Gulliver's Travels and eventually Superman.
