Mr. Percy Willard Harrison, 86, of Winston-Salem went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was born December 3, 1931 in Forsyth County to the late Percy Reed Harrison and Zola Elizabeth Lawson Harrison. Mr. Harrison was a proud patriot, whom served his country in the Airforce during the Korean Conflict and later retired from the Sears-Roebuck Company. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he enjoyed working with the children. Mr. Harrison grew up on a farm and never left at heart. Preceding him death are his parents, four brothers, Roy Harrison, Lindsay Harrison, Porter Harrison, and his twin, Perry Harrison. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Harrison, a son, Dean Harrison and wife Debbie of Clemmons, two daughters, Diane Britt and husband Sam of Lumberton, and Beverly Harvey and husband Joe, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in his honor 10:30 AM Monday, January 29, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Gary Byrum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association: 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060, or to the Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home: 101 Hospice Way, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
