Lillian H. Kowalski, 90, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend went to celebrate Christmas with Our Lord on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Chapel Grove Inn in Heath. She was a former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville and upon moving to the Reynoldsburg area she became a member of the Church of Our Lady in Columbus. Lillian had a joyful, loving spirit her entire life. Rarely was she without a smile and a song in her heart. She tried to be a caregiver when she herself needed a caregiver. She always had fun. Lillian loved the card game, wild-rummy; bingo; Ohio State Football and girl's basketball; The Price is Right; and scratch-off lottery tickets. She loved people and animals. The staff and residents at Chapel Grove Assisted Living and Hospice of Central Ohio became a part of her extended family, ever-caring, ever-loving. Lillian doesn't have awards, degrees, or a gold watch, but she worked hard her whole life providing a warm, loving safe haven for her family and a spirit of love within herself. Lillian was born June 28, 1915 to the late Carl and Lillian Stimpel of Millvale, Pa. She was the second of their six children.
