Grant G. Arner Jr., 93, of Lehighton passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lehighton. He was the husband of Pauline (Berger) Arner for 67 years. Born in Lehighton he was the son of the late Grant G. and Florence (Sassaman) Arner Sr. He was a 1942 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
Grant was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1942-1944. Following his service Grant worked for the Atlas Powder Company for 36 years.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lehighton, where he served as Secretary on Church Council, member of the Lehighton American Legion Post 314 and a member of the Lehighton F&AM Masonic Lodge #621.
Grant loved working and collecting Lionel Trains and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline and predeceased by a sister, Rita.
