Services for Brenda Kay Clinton, 60, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend David Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with the assistance of Payton Clinton, Blake Brawley, Rick Mayo, Buddy Harris, Michael Maxwell, Jr., Dale Taylor, Sandy Ashley and Reese Clinton.
A time of visitation and support for the family will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The daughter of the late Ken Troy and Helen Lorena McGee Moss, Brenda was born March 16, 1957 in Ardmore and passed away January 15, 2018 at a local hospital.
A resident of the area all of her life, she graduated from Plainview High School the class of 1976. She married Johnny Lee Clinton, Sr. on August 20 1976 at Healdton, and he preceded her in death October 11, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky and Johnny Moss.
Brenda worked for the Oklahoma Veterans Center as Dietary manager. She had just retired after 28 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking cruises and playing with her grandchildren.
Brenda is survived by her children, Stephanie Clinton and wife Lena, Johnny Clinton, Jr., sister Renee "Celina" Walls, brother-in-law Mac Clinton, sister-in-law Phyllis Maxwell and husband Michael, her grandchildren, Payton Clinton, Blake Brawley, Taelynn Holbrook, and Beaudy Clinton.
Honorary bearers will be the Staff of the Ardmore Veterans Center and the Plainview Class of 1976.
